That's because our liberal math teachers was too busy protesting *something* to teach. They passed us anyway because they didn't want to hurt our feelings

Actually, you hit on one of the biggest problems with our education system. Too much emphasis on "teaching" and not nearly enough emphasis on "learning". Far too many students (and parents of students) believe the education of the student is the responsibility of the "teacher", when it is in fact the responsibility of the "learner". Sure, it's great if you have highly motivated and motivating teachers, but our society doesn't value them, as evidenced by the disparity between the incomes of CEOs, rock stars, movie stars, athletes, drug dealers, etc as opposed to the incomes of teachers. Students that value learning will learn, regardless of the quality of the teaching.

see, this is what i see also. people need to start teaching absolutes... our country thrived for yeard on absolutes (i.e. the Bible... i know most of you dont like that word) so why change it now? conservatives (and independents) have sat back for way to long and watched the super-liberal activists take away what our country was founded on (fredom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion, right to BEAR arms, not the right to NO arms... etc...)

but see what liberal people in education have done! they have taken away he basic learning of polotics and rules from the classroom, and that has led to an i-dont-care attitude about everything--- including polotics, which is the cause of the ongoing stuggle between american values and ultra-progressive liberals.

I agree with that almost completely, with the exception to the "I-Don't-Care" attitudes. I don't think it is due to the fact that they don't care about anything. It has to do with what they DO care about. And that, pure and simple, is themselves. There are a lot of self-absorbed people running around today, who care about nothing and no one but themselves.

It's all "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme!" and "Me, Me, Me!"

"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you an do for your country" has been replaced with, "Ask not what I can do for my country, but what my country can do for me".

Your right, I assume this is a flame trying to make it seem like your mommy raised you to be polite, and nice, and mine did not. (I'm sure you will tell me I assumed incorrectly, but whatever)

But you are correct in this instance. We obvisouly were raised different... For example, I don't sugar coat the truth... My mommy taught me white lies were still lies.

I am adding you to my ignore list...

Democrats made to look worse?

With Howard Dean and that idiot Pelosi going on and on about how can we support the Iraqui Prime Minister beacaues he is "anti-semitic" and wont come out against Hezbollah .... WHEN DID DEAN AND PELOSI EVER COME OUT AGAINST HEZBOLLAH?
They don't want Israel & the US to win over there, it would make Bush look too good. They are pro-Hezbollah most of the time.
Hypocrites.

Here you can see a lovely example of how Fox news tries to make the democrats look worse at every turn.

Pretty lame if you ask me.
