I have a user with Outlook problems. He is running Outlook 2003 on XP in a locked environment. Outlook is running system resources to 98 and99% just a minute after being started. The result is Outlook is painfully slow. It doesn't matter if he is connected to the server or work ofline the results are the same. I read that Google Desktop Indexer can cause this - is it relevant in this case?
Might be worth turning off the indexing service anyway.
If none of that works, go into msconfig and disable all start up programmes. If that cures the problem, you'll obviously have to enable the start programmes again one by one to find the culprit.
