It was clear Bush wanted to start wars (for oil, weapons, prestige, who the hell knows) from before his first non-election. Then he did. I'm not entirely convinced of this story's truth, but I think the past is a pretty good indicator that it may be. Oh, and Lebanon is happening now, except Israel is doing Bush's dirty work.

hmmmm someone flew planes in an offensive manner into 2 skyscrapers and the pentagon, 1 attempt to aim at yourself.

someone attacked your economy, your military, and a failed attempt at yourself, the leadership, killing thousands of innocent americans

and bush decides that hey, he wants to be president for a second time.

Of course, because Israel and Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, (and palestine such as it is), and the rest of the middle east has never had "wars" before GWB.

Like I said, a tin-foil hat story (I guess JMJ missed the point there). Some people have said that GWB started a war so that the country would be focused on that and he would be re-elected. Page back to his daddy, going into Iraq, with U.N. blessings. Did it get him re-elected? I'm just saying this "new" Serial-War idea is just a tear on an older idea. If you believe it, put on your tin-foil hat.

Straight from the horse's mouth. (Not intended as a derogatory statement - just a common saying)

I believe that same argument was used back in the 40s with FDR running for his third term.

and would you please like to put a date to that statement of bush's?

if he said that before his presidency(pre-2000) then he would of had the intention of starting a war when he did win the presidency.

if he said that after his presidential win(post-2000) then what he said would be correct. However to accuse him of intentionally starting any war just to expand the term of his presidency is another thing. and this is just spec.

straight from the horse's mouth(mine :approve:)

edit: did bush really post that, is he lerking around here? <-- referring to "orginally posted by mr. bush" in the quote.
