Thanks Lance Bass...

For giving me the courage to come out...

and admit something personal that I've been holding back for too long. You see, I love Doritos. Especially the Cool Ranch. It tickles my tongue! I'm tired of sneaking in the shadows and playing games. I don't want to be ashamed of who I am anymore. Last night I admitted it to my wife. My kids are too young to understand - they like Pringles. I have to find a new apartment and get counseling, and our relationship is over. My wife says I may still be able to visit the kids. Freedom has a price. I did it for you Lance. I did it for you.

Yes, I'm referring to that moron Bono!

So I may not be real famous, but my announcement today was still very important to me and I thank Lance for giving me the courage to stand up and tell you all about myself. Does anyone else have anything they want to announce!

I like Pringles - sour cream & onion with a cold beer!! I feel better already. Thanks for this wonderful thread. I can now face the world with my head held up high secure in the knowledge that I will not go to my grave having not shared my love of artificial potato chips and beer with my fellow aximsiters. :rolling:

I have been considering for the last few days to start a thread on the theme of "And this is supposed to be news?"

I mean, this was assumed 10 years ago... I know I always called him gay (and the music too). When this story came out, all I could think of was: you didn't know?, and why should anyone care?

Perhaps 10-20 years ago coming out of the closet was a big deal, but any more it isn't a big deal... It isn't like he was found in the bushes with an english truck driver...

I assumed all boy band members were Doritos eaters. All that potato chip eating is nothing more than a beard.

I have to announce that I just purchased my first Axim today, and yet I've been coming here for a long time. I admit it, I was exploiting the better user base here to help me with my HP iPaq. I was ashamed, but now I can get the truth out there.

Thank you Lance.

I've never told anyone this...

But my family are Coke drinkers...

I mean all of them... My mom, my dad, my sister. Even my grandad and granny drink Coke. It's been in the family for generations. Who am I to not drink Coke?

Anyway, once when I was 12 I went to this community picnic. I'm from a small town, you know, and they do those sort of things in a small town. There were a lot of people there. There was a small carnival, hot dog/hamburger stands, cotton candy, bingo... well, you get the idea.

So, I'm just wandering around and there is this guy with a table and two boards propped up in the front. He says to me, "hey kid" (you know, cuz I was 12), "come over here". I wasn't sure he was talking to me, so I kind of looked around but I was the only one close by. I turned back to the guy and he says, " come on over, I want you to try something".

I honestly wasn't sure what to do. But, I was 12 and a little nieve, so I go over to the table. The guy hands me a cup and says, "here drink this". I looked at the cup and it had some sort of dark liquid in it with bubbles. I smelled it and it smelled pretty good. So, being 12 and a little nieve, I drank it. It tasted a little familiar, but a little different at the same time.

The guy then hands me another glass and says, "now try this one". So I did. You know what? The second one was full of Coke. I could tell that right off. You know, being a Coke drinker all my life. I tell the guy, "that's Coca-Cola!". And he says, "your right, but what did you think of the other one?" I tell him that I liked it a lot. Maybe, just maybe, even more than the Coke.

Well, the guy smiles at me and lifts up both the boards sitting in front of me. And would you believe that the one I picked was none other than PEPSI!!!

As you could imagine, I was absolutely terrified. What if my family had seen me? What if one of my neighbors heard that I had drank Pepsi? Even worse, what would my minister say?

I had no choice but to run and hide. But the longer I hid, the more I wanted that Pepsi. I sat there, sweating and thinking of it...

It's coldness.

It's wetness.

It's sweetness.

Soon, I could stand it no longer. I snuck back behind where the guy with the table was. And, when no one was looking, I reached down into the cooler and carefully removed one of the can's of Pepsi. That was it. I had been reduced to hiding and theft. And all for the want of Pepsi. I took that can and hid it under my shirt. Then I ran as fast as I could behind a row of bushes. There, behind all the greenery, I opened that can. I took a moment just to stare at it. Then, when I could stare no longer, I drank that can of Pepsi. And it was goooood!!!

There!! I said it. I am a Pepsi drinker raised by a family of Coke lovers....

I took the challenge, and victory was sweet!!!

Boy Bands and American Idol Rejects. Cannot get enough of their original and powerful music.

Well ... no. If that were true I would take up some sort of Stabbing Self In Eyes With Needles therapy to cure it right quick.

Geunine one = I like The Food Network - started out doing my best to ignore it while the wife watched - started glancing over, more and more often - now I am right there for Iron Chef and Bobby Flay throwdowns and whatever else come on ...

oh you mean the backdoor boys?

HAHA yeah, it's like looking at a red car and the owner says it blue, then 10 years later admitting that it's red.
