If I was in your situation, I'd go for the Axim Basic and get a 512MB CF card or a 256MB SD card. The Axim Basic is still powerful enough for playback of most videos.
Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday
I'm with the folks who've suggested you convince your parents that buying you the 400 would be an excellent investment in your educational future.
Also, (I'm sure that you're already doing this), but check the Dell site EVERYDAY. They're constantly adding new promotions.
Last thing, considering the fact that this thread has generated 3 pages of replies in the last 24 hours, I bet if you get a "Donate to my birthday wish" fund set up, you'd have the money in no time. I'd be willing to contribute a buck or two. NO JOKE!

Yes, I was serious. I'd toss a few bux the kids way. At least he's looking at an Axim, not an Xbox!
But before you give out your address, get the parents approval.

Now calm down sonny! I just meant the Axim could be used more for learning than gaming.
PS, in my house we have every game system you can think of :-)

Go for the 400 all the way! That way you'll never have to wonder what life would have been like with more power and more memory.

Actually, I think it would probably be best to have your parents set it up for you, just to make sure that EVERYTHING is on the up & up!
