Actually that was JMJselect, not Radimus. And I agree a bit. The terrorists can be blamed for quite a bit. But the economy on the other hand......

Condi gets my vote. She is an absolutely brilliant lady. And she handles herself with grace and diplomacy. She would definately make for a difficult apponent in a real election. It would definately be interesting to see.

hillary scares me and, despite my initial prejudices, i have become impressed with condi rice. the sad thing, though, about the american public as reflected in some no name poll i saw this past year is a significant percentage thought that oprah would make a good candidate. oh, the humanity (or lack)!
Condoleezza Rice is highly qualified, and she would not serve as an extension of the current administration. Even so, she manages to work within it without sacrificing her integrity. Mrs. Rice is incredibly intelligent and fantastically talented. If you saw her biography, you would feel a little bit embarrassed. The way I see it, if she ran for office, the only reason people would not vote for her would be because she is a black woman. There, I said it. Cat's out of the bag.
Hillary, on the other hand, piggybacked Bill's presidency and got elected to the Senate in NY because Giuliani got cancer and there is a strong gimme vote in NY.
I hate gimmes as much as I hate extreme-wing lunatics (right or left).
It might be interesting to see how the red/blue startes gets mixed up in that election.
Most of the red states are "traditionally" rural, it might be a bit of a culture shock for many of the "Less than cosmopolitan" voters to support a black woman for president. Call it what you want, but the issue would be brought up.
Satan in a Miniskirt might have a better chance in that election
eewww, I just caught a vision. Satan in a miniskirt standing next to Hillary in a miniskirt
... you look mighty cute Satan

I wouldn't even know where to begin with how bad Hillary would be for this country. Just look at her legislative history. First, as First Lady, she vigorously fought for health care reform, came up with a miserable package that would have moved health care into a model much like the one Canada has now, and then failed to garner any support for it before crashing miserably.
Then, she ran for Senate in NY, a state she had barely visited, let alone lived in. Yes, she did meet the technical residency requirements. But it was still cheap. How can she honestly say she represents or even knows the interests of the voters in that state.
And what has she done since she has been in the Senate?? All she has succceeded in doing is helping to create the extremely poarized atmosphere you see before you today.
a) Nobody could mess up healthcare as much as the current administration has done... Have you seen medicare? Socialized healthcare would be great for this country IMO, but I can see why you would think otherwise.
b) She's not the only senator to do this (Santorum for example)
I don't live in NY, so I can't fairly answer the last one.

What exactly are you saying Santorum did?? Are you saying he forum shopped?? I don't think so. I actually worked for him when he was a Congressman. He was an attorney in Pittsburgh. He ran for Congress against long time Democrat Doug Walgren (I think I have the last name correct) and served several terms as the Congressman from that District. He then went on to run for Senator from Pennsylvania (in which Pittsburgh is located) and won.
So, I am not exactly clear how that is the same as Hillary moving to NY, a state in which she never lived and barely set foot, to run for Senator??
