I was thinking of the future when I was playing battlefield(1942), what do you think a full scale war in a video game will be like?(tech will evolve to this point, i'm sure of.)

when I say full scale I mean hundreds of thousands of soliders(players) maybe even millions located all over the world(a virtual world) battling it out against each other to try and take over the world. players could pick countries and countries do battle with each other(in the virtual world) much like how it is in real life.

just think about it, you(your team) could pick out it's own strategy's and way of fighting and there could be someway of mimmicking an economy so that each army can produce it's own weapons that they develope on their own, based on their economies.......

There is a giant RTS that is played from the FPS persepective. There are 1000's of people involved over serveral battle fields and can conquer one anothers country. I am not sure but I believe it is a older game. I would love to see a massive MP game like 1942 though.

EDIT: I think it is a french game or something, it is not in english as I remember.

do you know how many can play on any one server?

i'm think about when hundreds of thousands can play all on a server all on the same world(multiple battlefields/lands/....) all at one time.

I think it is in the thousands per world, and smaller amounts per battle field.
