Replay-
What are you going to do when Dell stops accepting returns from you? Your argument is baseless. No computer company make claims or promises about the internal electronics in the units they sell. They 250 and 255 chipsets obviously cost the same, because Dell did not raise the price of units, so you are in no way being cheated by purchasing a new unit with the 250 chipset in it. I think you're just somebody with a chip on your shoulder who like to stir up trouble.

Its people like you who raise the cost of the product by sending working hardware back. Do us all a favor and get another product. How do you plan to return it. Lie?

As others have said you'll end up with a 255

This whole topic is crazy. "Dell refuses to answer...."

They did answer and you didn't like what they said...

Cagey and Jedi-
C'mon guys, give RePlay a break. Yes I agree with you, but I'm sure that he will not be returning the axim 25 times and shooting up the cost.

And to wish any kind of misfortune upon someone because they don't agree with your logic, well, that's just unaxim-like and bad kharma.....

Whatever happens will happen, and I'm sure Dell Corp. can handle itself.

Ya'll have a great wekend!!! ;)

More than likely Replay, you will get the newest version as you placed a new order. Now, due to keeping problems low, since Replay has received as good of an answer as any of us can give (due to lack of knowledge on our part), I am going to close the thread.

As the Owner of this site, I notice things here in this thread that bother me.

The Axim is a GREAT PDA, it has opened the market up to more than just rich corporate toy collectors and made it where the common man/woman can afford to utilize it's functionality. The price is VERY LOW considering what you get. Where am I going with this? HERE!!! There has always been a phrase out there that I laugh at, "you get what you paid for" - well in our case, you get way more than you paid for. I have had 5 Axims so far, I get a new one and give the old to my wife or a friend. I HAVE ONLY HAD TO HAVE ONE REPLACED BECAUSE OF DEFECTIVE CRAFTMANSHIP. I do not dislike those that do it, but it upsets me that there are so many people that "use the system" in the attempt to get what they believe will be a better product. It is in my opinion, stealing. Yeah, Yeah.... Dell is a big company and they can afford for me to be dishonest, they'll never notice it..... Well they won't if only a few do this, but I have counted many here in our own forums that have admitted to it. DON'T take it badly, if you have done this before, I am not trying to make you feel bad. I am only making a point.

Out of the current 3 Axims in my home now... I DO NOT NOTICE A BIT OF DIFFERENCE. 1 of them is a 255 and all of them have basicly the same software loaded.

Basicly, I agree with the masses on the subject. There is nothing to complain about here....If anyone has any problems with the views I shared, feel free to pm me, I will not comment on this thread publicly again.

Thread being moved to "Tell Dell", since this originally was a complaint towards Dell.
