If you don't mind... please post the user ids that the spam PMs are coming from. It is likely they all come from a single IP address, and we can squash it that way.
Noisy, I believe this is email, not PM, and in no way connected with Aximsite (at least that's how I read it.):)

Becareful, stuff like that can be an attempt to put tracking or other spyware on your PC. Whenever you see email from some party or name you don't recognize or some subject that doesn't make sense,DO NOT OPEN it. That's all it takes to put it on your pc. Worse case is it can put spyware files in your REGISTRY.
Everyone who uses software needs to look at this site, "StopBadware.org". Alot of good reports on software and the things they put on our pc"s that they don't tell us of in the license agreements. They change settings, registry, and add spyware. A must read for all!
i think the translation of this seemingly random message might be....... All your base are belong to us
Actually, I think they are "testing," seeing which addresses send back a "No such address" message. The random bullshit algorithm makes it difficult to filter, as does the likely use of a spambot trojan program.
BTW, in case anyone is interested in counter-spamming (hint hint) the ones like this I get seem to originate from a variety of email domains (such as ctt-inc.com) all of which have an IP Address of 66.151.4.105 and a tracert reveals that as crystalreports.abstractsonline.com.

to "test" ;) my connection im going to pign those domains with 30mb mb for 20 min...
No, but Linux can do that pinging stuff, but windows can too.
I'm going to see if it is legitimate or not, if not, I will continue writing my program to ping an ip address repeatedly, then load it on all 5 of my computers, and get to work.
Its an Aximsite DoS network!

A typical ping sequence is 56 bytes of data every second. Or 448 Bits per second. From 5 computers that is just over 2Kb/s.
Most of these mass mailers are probably on at least DS3 connections (45Mb/s) so from a pure bandwidth perspective could support concurrent pings from >100,000 PCs.
ABFs 30Mb/s "ping of death" is also limited by his upstream bandwidth, which I doubt is >5Mb/s. It's possible, but unlikely.
Regardless, I'm speculating that it's significantly less than 45Mb/s.
:)
And finally - "hacking the hacker" or "DOSing the spammer" are all illegal. As annoying as it may be.
These particular ones are trying to ramp stocks, the text is there to fool the spam filters and the idea is that the reader will look at the images and ignore the text.

not if im just test my connection...
BTW: there is an extension to the "ping" command that allows you to choose how much data gets send..
I've been getting this wierd spam in my email box, it's difficult to filter as they use completely new adresses each time, but the content is basically the same gibberish. I can't figure out what the point is and for some reason I'm curious. Why spam with something that makes no sense? It doesn't seem to contain malware or virus. Any ideas? ... <snip>

Here's what you can do. If you're using a POP3 mailbox, get a copy of Outlook 2003. Set the junk filter so that it simply blocks everything that isn't in your contact lists. (This is called 'white listing'). Absolutely everything else will get tossed in the junk mail folder where you can inspect it without opening the messages. If you see one from someone you know you simply tell it to add them to your white list. No more spam in the in-box, period.
