I've been getting this wierd spam in my email box, it's difficult to filter as they use completely new adresses each time, but the content is basically the same gibberish. I can't figure out what the point is and for some reason I'm curious. Why spam with something that makes no sense? It doesn't seem to contain malware or virus. Any ideas?

The text is probably intended to circumvent spam detection software. What is the domain of your ISP? It looks like one or two of the big ones may have had their subscriber lists compromised.
this is going to my gmail account and I report it but even the domains of the senders change each time so they still get through. It's seems like a lot of effort to get it through, so i have to assume they have a nefarious reason but I can't figure it out.
i keep getting these wired messages that are made to look liek soem tech letter but they say things like "the sink mounts on the case wit the heat pipes and the drive gllued...." basically making no sense at all.. i will see if i have one to show..
I get the same message. It seems to be a book extract but the banner at the top is pushing various stocks and shares. I have been getting one or two a day.
Why do they bother, I don't think anyone takes any notice of it.
Maybe it's the Revenge of Reese!. Sorry couldn't resist. I was getting them a while back on Comcast but they seem to have been filtered out. It's just a way to get through spam filters. Some of mine were for stocks, mortgage refi and of course Viagra.
I just cracked the code. This is the nefarious org sending the secret code trying to affect our minds. They may have gotten to Tom Cruise, but they won't get me!
If you don't mind... please post the user ids that the spam PMs are coming from. It is likely they all come from a single IP address, and we can squash it that way.

I've been getting some weird ones in my gmail account as well. Today it was the Three Musketeers (the fighters, not the candy bar!)
My cousin is my mail provider. Spamassasin runs on this (squirrelmail) and works very well.
