I'm not saying I disagree with you... it is just nowhere near as cut and dried as some people would like to think.
Yes finally, its not just me that feels this way! Ice ages, warm ages, its all natural part of the earth cycle.

I live up in the cold northeast, and i say, bring it on! Its a beatiful area where i live, but 10months of the year are too cold for me!

PS: This global warming just give the liberals another thing to complain about. I also love seeing those losers that blame everything on bush. (Katrina, global warming, etc) Bush=Mother Nature? Or is this just the stupid liberals blaming everything on bush, when theyre dumb clinton pretty much is the reason why were in iraq and afg. He should of taken care of it in '93 when the towers were attacked. Blame it on clinton who was too busy cheating on his wife!

Thats my 2 cents.

I'm sorry as a foreigner I shouldn't get involved, but do you honestly think that a missed dry cleaning Bill and a Bushfire can even be compared.

Spunker88, I'm glad you have access to the internet. Keep reading and studying politics, and I guarantee you're thoughts will change over the next few years. The internet, unlike our (US) media, is unfiltered. One day you will realize liberals are not 'stupid' just as righties are not stupid. I hope you can one you can stop blaming everything on Clinton's B***J***, and respect your fellow Americans points of views. Difference of viewpoints is what makes us a strong nation. :approve:

do you really think that global warming and the environment is some conspiracy invented to score points agains George Bush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

It's not a partisan game we're in here people... it's the planet that we're busy killing. At best if we do nothing then we'll destroy this nice cosy industrial society we've got going on. At worst then it could be goodnight civilization.

Or we could try and do something about it, instead of just hoping that it will go away

If you live on this planet, or know anyone living on this planet... then you are involved, like it or not.

We're not going anywhere. People are very industrious people. Apart from all the global warming discussion, we'll find a way to stay on this planet, both alive and industrial.

Ok... when are we going to start? what changes are you thinking of?

Because if we don't start making changes, then we have a serious problem.

Notice the massive ice loss in just one year? Santa Claus will soon be a dead man, if not already.

Global temperature compared to atmospheric concentrations...

And finally, storm frequency compared to sea water temperatures...

Any questions?
Sure. Perhaps temperatures are rising a bit but if it had anything to do with us, then why are Mars Polar IceCaps melting too?

we just came out of an period of global cooling(hence global warming) and now russian scientists are saying that we are gonna begin the period of global cooling again in a couple of years(my link is somewhere on the first page for sources).

this is normal cyclical global warming/cooling. quit racking your brain over this.

oh and the what are we doing thing: change on this earth is a VERY slow progress, if you look around the world people are making those small changes. china with thier solar water heating(you can heat all your water with solar energy very VERY cheaply(something like $1000 to setup). in america we are in the infancy of something new...

wind powered homes,(basically a wind mill on top of a house) not for all the power needs but it'll power alot and if you generate excess power you can sell your extra power to power companies so they can use it.

all the tech and innovation in automobiles. cleaner burning fuels, liquid coal, all the tech behind making regular coal burn cleaner. conservation of companies with their energy use.....

and there's much much more that we are doing, but you have to remember that change takes time ALOT of time
