what is the best cleaning cloth to clean a laptop LCD (or axim)

what is the best cleaning cloth (or other product) for an LCD screen

my desktop LCD screens have finger smears from people touching the screen

(even though i tell them each time... "please don't touch the screen"... 1 minute later... they touch it again pointing to something... why do people do this? )

any suggestions for the best cleaning product?

I use toilet paper. Make sure it's not the kind that's like paper towels, though, that will just scratch it up.

yeah I think any microfiber cloth will do, just use the side that doesn't have any logo's or lettering if your cloth has that. I have a couple and those logos and stuff is silkscreened and not the microfiber itself.

if not if you have really really soft pillow covers or bed covering that'll work as well, just make sure it's clean

Yeah I like to put some water on a microfiber cloth to wipe it down and dry it off. Good stuff!

I bought some HP ipaq screen protectors for my X5 (I don't recommend it, they're a tad too small :) ) But anyway, they came with a microfiber cloth, so that's what I use now. I used to use my cleaning cloth for my glasses

A couple of years ago I bought a Paceblade Tablet PC, it came with a 3m Scotch Brite cleaning cloth, works perfectly, which is more than I can say for the computer. I use the cloth all the time for my computers and my glasses. Mind you, it's a bit expensive at around 2000 Pounds but It did come with a rather attractive computer shaped paper weight.

ditto on the microfiber - either that or an old 100% cotton t shirt or even underwear in a pinch. either water or worley's wonder as a wetting agent. no isopropyl alcohol, though.

Microfiber cloth and sometimes damp with a little screen cleaning fluid specifically made for LCD and laptop screens. Very inexpensive, keep some on hand.

Works great on the Ax's that I own. :approve:
