I must get that as soon as it's released! I'm a big fan!

Patrickj, always full of the most important and relevant information. Thanks for that. I know his son has been well indoctrinated in the Tolkein universe, but this is really something cool.
I wonder if it will be made into a movie??

There are probably 10 movies worth of material in the simirillion
I'd even like Tom Bombadil

Tom Bombadil would be a really cool movie. Of course, the Silmarillion....man...how would you compress that into a movie. That would be either amazing or horrible. :)

LOL - my younger brother will have made that sort of sound and will be probably still be struggling for breath and normal heart rate for a few days ...
Here is why Lord of the Rings makes me happy. When I was in high school, (maybe junior high, it all runs together) I LOVED Lord of the Rings, but it was not cool back then.
Anyway, I stayed with it for 20 some more years and suddenly it became cool. So, now I am cool. Mind you, it is about 25 years too late, but cool nonethless. :)

I like the 20 years and suddenly in same sentence - there's a man who's been waiting a *long* time to be cool :)

...an epic tale his father began in 1918 and later abandoned
I hope it's good. I really, really do. But I've noticed that after a famous author's (or musician's) death there tends to be a mad desire to publish "unfinished" and "never before released" works, only to find out that there's a reason the artist abandoned the project in the first place.
