This is the first time I've really been consistently hassled by SPAM. I have an MS Exchange Server account (which is great) in Outlook 2003, and I'm receiving quite a lot of SPAM through said account.
My internet security suite is Trend Micro PC-Cillin 2006, but of course it doesn't scan for SPAM through the exchange account; it only does so through a pop3 account.
Does anyone know of an effective way of combating SPAM at the user end in MS Exchange Server account in Outlook 2003?
Many thanks, everyone.

In future, when you go to "those" sites, ensure that you use a different email address ;)
I knew I'd made a mistake somewhere...
But, now I've registered my email address with the spammerati, how do I deal with it? Come on, you're supposed to be the one who knows things about computers....why else have a goatee?!

Well the easiest way is to do it at the server end, rather than the client end.
Are you a mere end user, or are the exchange server people on your side?
(for example this would be great... http://www.messagelabs.com/services/..._datasheet.pdf
but requires corporate buy in for the exchange server)

The simplest thing to do is make a rule that moves all mail from "known" accounts into a subfolder and turn on the outlook spam filter. On the enterprise/exchange side I use ProofPoint

If you are able to influence what goes on the Exchange server itself, there are a number of good choices. If you are only able to look for a client-side solution, one paid-for option that is very worthwhile is iHateSpam, from Sunbelt Software.
Around $20 for it, you can trial it, create friends / whitelists, quarantine blocked mail and throw all suspect mail into separate folder so it doesn't distract you when viewing Inbox etc.
