i'll take a stab. I've often wondered are you lifting proportionately. if I weigh 130 lbs and lat pull 87 lbs. Does a 180 lb guy have to lat pull 120 to exercise equivalently. but in the end the weight is the weight is the weight.

Lift the amount that you can do, while breathing deeply and maintaining your form. Excercise the muscles that are intended by the lift. IE, don't use your whole body to do your bicep curls. Do not lock any joints. Vary your lifts for each muscle group so that your muscles don't start to "memorize" the workout.

I thought if I came back to it a few hours later I might be able to make some sense out of it.

Nope - still not making sense.

What is 30, if only 20? I don't have 30. If I did, would she be heavier?

I think the question is asking if a female lifting 20lb feel about as much weight as a male lifting 30lb. Of course, there's no real answer, since evey person is different. In some cases, that can be correct, but in other cases, it might be reversed or something else.

That's just like how 45MPH on a bike is slower than 45MPH in a car.

THAT was not a translation. It was more like... listening to a weak FM radio station instead of an AM station.

This is one of those its 25 degrees F outside but it feels like 15 things. See if you are working out with a weight of 30lbs and you don't lift it does it feel like 20. To me if I am not going to lift something it feels heaver, espcially if I am going to tell somebody I lifted or worked out with it. Would you rather have a barbell that says 500 lbs on it but only weighs 10lbs or one marked 10lbs that weighed 500lbs. I would feel stronger and much more manly with the first one.

What is half? Ever see that little rascels bit where woim breaks a candy bar off center then compares them. He then bites off the longer one until it is the same size as the other one. Then gives it to his brother. They are EVEN! See they had new age sensitive math in in the 1930s!

Just kidding man.

Star882 - It's relativity..
Spend an hour with the woman of your dreams and it seems like a minute. Spend a minute with your hand on the hot stove and it seems like an hour.
