Hallowe'en

So, how was everyone's Hallowe'en?

I spent the morning at work dressed as a mad scientist/bizzarre clown. Had fun taking my kids around this evening - my youngest is pooped and I am still waiting for the eldest to turn up. We got a bit over 40 kids, which is pretty good for the neighbourhood.

It could have been my daughter's first holloween at 8 months and a half old. Unfortunately she just recovered from a bout with flu so we just stayed home. We had a turnout of about 50 kids, 12 more than last year. My daughter's well and that's about what makes our holloween happy. Happy holloween everyone.

It rained here starting at about 4:30 PM. We didn't have any trick or treaters. I guess tha rain spoiled everything. We have been getting less and less over the past two or three years.

Great weather in metro Atlanta. Lots of kids. We always have a lot of fun on Halloween.

Unbelievable the amount of loot my kids collected. Disgusting really.

Just finished eating about two pounds of my kid's candy. Well, maybe not two pounds but my stomach sure feels like it now. It's unbelievable how much candy the kids get nowadays.

Great weather here in northern VA. Mid 60's earlier this evening which is unseasonably warm.

My kids went out with thier mom and a few aunts they had a good time and returned with tons of candy.. I stayed home to pass out candy, we got loads of comments on our pumpkins this year..

My kids picked out the patterns, my wife did most of the carving though, .. i did the 'easy' one #2.

My sister in law did the guy in the middle, any guesses on who it is?

#1 is correct, #3 is a player on the detroit pistons.. Chauncey Billups

One family came to my house and the dad was trying to figure out #1 and he was saying its velma from Scooby doo.. and his daughter steped up and said "NO dad! its Cinderella!" .. she got an extra peice of candy..

Those are great pumpkins, silentknight! :approve: How long does it take to do one of those? I may have to try one or two next year.

My wife is pretty fast at them.. she spent about an hour cleaning 4 of them out and carved 3 in about an hour. My kids helped with tracing of the patterns.. and playing in the goo. my sister in law carved #3 and I carved # 2.. in about the same time as my wife did the other 3.

I should have known better. Yep, Billups looks real scary. They should have one for Sam Cassell too.

I thought the first one was wilma from the flinstones..
And skeletor is from thundercats, not he-man...

No trick or treaters for us. We live on a seasonal road (pronounced "two-track") and then the driveway is an additional 1000 feet long or so. Also I'm the youngest at 23 y/o, so we didn't go out. Instead we processed a deer. We must have got about 40 lbs of ground venison... Mmmmmm... Ground Venison...
