I've also built a system based on the 805 after reading the write-up at Tom's Hardware.
My fav gadget is definitely my axim.
I don't know if a snowboard is considered as a gadget, but I'm definitely looking forward to a good season of riding. Got my board tuned and am just waiting for the white stuff.
My Ax has become so useful that I really don't need a laptop any more. Just about anything I need a computer for when I'm not actually sitting at my home or work desk is well served by the Axim. I think I'm going to give my HP notebook to my daughter for school (so she can do her video editing & stuff) and just get a solid (and cheaper) desktop for my home desk. The Ax just plain rocks as a carry-around computer!
I've been trying to find uses for my laptop when not at my desk but most of the time my favorite gadget is all I need.
Only had my Axim X30 High for 6 weeks (great eBay bargain) but absolutely love it. However combined with my Holox BT-321 GPS receiver it has truely become the greatest non-oxygen breating thing in my life and always follows me around like a lovesick puppy. Long may ot continue to be so.

Did you know that a Pentium D 805 can be very fast with the help of a refrigerant? Even including the cost of tools and parts, the performance/price ratio is very good. That's why I bought the gauges I mentioned in a previous post. $50 is a small price to pay for an over 50% boost in performance. I have already finished the plumbing work and I'll have to wire up the power supply and control circuits in addition to actually getting a CPU and motherboard to use it with. Then I'll have to adjust the TXV and PLL, which is where the real fun starts!

I've seen your thread on your 805 -- quite a project. I only have a humble Zalman in mine for cooling.
Well, since I'm doing a post here .... My other fav gadget is my sony in-ear noise cancelling earphones :approve: . Very useful when listening to my ax during my travels. For an even better seal, I've replaced the original silicon plugs with foam plugs.
Actually, I just worked on the cooling system. I'm not sure if I'll use a Pentium D 805. I'm still looking for a good deal on one. What other CPUs take well to being "Freoned"?
