Ranking system?

Hey does anyone know the ranking system here? Like when do I not become a Member anymore? And how do you become a Moderator????

It goes by post count.

0-20 = Newbie
21-200 = Member
201-400 = Super Member
401+ = Elite Member

How do you become Mod?

Most mods are recruited when the site first opens. Others, like myself, are chosen to become mods later on. Chris (AximSiteAdmin) is the owner/administrator of Aximsite, and if he feels that more mods are needed at any point in time.....he basically narrows the choices down to those who have been very helpful to other members, contributed alot of information, and someone who everyone gets along with and doesn't cause any trouble. After that, he usually contacts the top picks to see if they are interested in a position.

It's not very often that mods are added.....usually just when other mods leave their positions for whatever reason.

You'll also see "contributor". If you contribute money to help operate the site then you get that title.

Are there other titles we haven't mentioned yet?

By the way, it's an informal ranking system. You have the same rights to access the site as any other user. Feel free to read everything and ask any questions you want. Don't worry about your number of posts, just don't abuse the site by posting trivial stuff just to build your post count.

But on a more serious note, try not to worry about your post count. it really doesn't matter. who knows. before you know it you will have enough posts to be a super member. :)

Well there is "Admin", but only one has that title. :p

Don't forget the "Review Team" which is made up of Aximsite.com reviewers. Heck if you want to start posting some good reviews, that is a great way to get on that team. Submit them to reviews@aximsite.com and who knows. We aren't looking for any right now, but we are always interesting in high quality reviews.

Exactly. Don't worry about post count at all. Some people with say 500+ posts have contributed very little information....while many with less than 50 - 100 posts have contributed more valuable information than them. In terms of your earlier question about Moderators, post count has very little to do with that as well.

So like ceej13 said, just hang around. Feel free to post as you like, just be sure to read the Rules for whatever forum you're posting in and adhere to those rules. :)

PDABeginner - Thanks for the interest. I just wanted to point out, becoming a mod and getting the respect of the community is not accomplished in the manner that mdcauthen shares. His actions has ultimatly gotten himself banned.

The best thing to help the community is to engage in good, clean conversation in the Water Fountain and contribute knowledge and expierences in the correct forums.
