I have three mini dachshunds...Lady (11), Mitzi and Daisy (2 1/2)..... and 'lost' Princess (3 years ago)....If I were to pick another name....it would probably be Heidi.

Now, if you are going for a handheld related name (and these dogs love to be held in hand)..... perhaps Dellie (not to be confused with Deli, a place that might process them into something edible...lol) or Maxi (Axim jumbled)

Back when I was in the eighth grade we had a neighbor with a dog named "Damit". It was hilarious. Every afternoon she would be outside screaming "Come in Damit! Where are you Damit!"

As for a name, though - how about "Snoopy"? We had a Dachsund around that same time and that's what we named him. It really fit!

I know that I promised to further elaborate today about the mystery of this thread... but I haven't received the go ahead from all parties concerned...

Allow me to at least clarify that.... this was NOT an Aximsite contest... and if it would have been, wdement probably would have won it anyway (wow, what a 2006 contest year for her!!!!)

I CAN tell that a new addition to a great familly should be in place as you read this however....

So sorry guys....busy day...Merry Christmas to all!
I want to thank you all, everyone, for contributing to the fun, and it was because you guysers are the best!
Julian was totally shocked and the surprise came off as magically as i had envisioned it in my minds eye. I'll have to get a pic or two in here tomorrow ... she's adorable and i do believe Lauren and Julian have settled on...Roxy, the Jersey Cruiser - Miss Huckleberry. whew! Around the homestead she will be lovingly and simply called, Roxy.
