Well I've started ripping CD's and then back to mp3's that could take awhile. However I took some of my playlists and did that first so I could put them on my Dell. I have to say that the Ipod's sound quality absolutely sucks. My Axim blows the Ipod away for sound.
I'm lazy in that I would love to just sync up to Itunes and go but the sound thing has me looking around now.

Yep. I got an iPod and took it back less than a week later. First, I had to carry a second device around. Second, I didn't like the sound as well.
It's sure killer for large storage and good battery, though, plus the fact that it's the only thing out there that will play iTunes protected files.
So...is sub-par sound a big enough negative to balance out all of the positives of an iPod? That's what I'd like to know.
