Why Did I do This ? (Impulse Purchase)

I've been perfectly happly with my X5 for that last 4? years. As a matter of fact, I've been a staunch advocate for not upgrading my X5.

So why did I pull the trigger on this??

(The 25% discount is what did me in

Order Details - Order Number: #########

Order Description: Axim X51v, Intel 624MHz, 256MBROM 64MB SDRAM, 3.7 inch VGA 802.11b, BT

It will be here next week.

I only hope I don't end up reverting back to my tried and true X5. (It's really been in a stable, usable state for so many years).

I guess I could always give the new X51V to one of my sons if I don't like it.

I think you will love it. I use the x50v from my x5 and I never looked back. I will say though that the x5 did feel more solid, but the x51 power will impress you along with the video capabilities. :approve:

Major difference in performance, just like Doug said. Compare the video of the two side by side and you'll see right away. You'll love the upgrade.

It's ok to spoil yourself from time to time. The key is to not do like the most of us and go overboard.

Would you take out the trash and keep your room from looking like a pigstye? (sp?)

(Actually, my oldest want's a "Q". . . he'll likely get it as a graduation present this spring)

Well said . . .

(I still always feel guilty when I buy these gadgets; especially when I have one that is functionally so close).

KPDUTY,
as soon as you start using your x51v and fall in love with that vga screen, you wont want to use anything else.

I, also for the record, take the trash out then bring in the empty trash cans!

I also do my own laundry as well as the laundry everyone else needs done! :nw:

O.K. ... from all the positive responses, it looks like my X5 (using it now while watching Chicago & Seattle stream when away from the big screen) is destined for retirement by me.

It's due Tuesday (delayed 1 day out of respect to MLK). That's very fast from order to door.
