Is the 2210 battery life really better than the Axim ? I read a review somewhere that said it was lower. Be interested in anyone else's experience on this.
You can keep the bluetooth. Just give me wifi. Now...immediately !!!
Good luck finding a '2210 community' as good as this Axim Community :)

I love My Axim Advanced, I use it for books, games, music, contacts, you name it even movies. I use it everyday. Take it with me everywhere.
I'm not jumping ship any time soon

The 2215 has a smaller battery, but much better power management. I agree, leaving this Axim board would be hard...this place is great.

I sure am glad people are more realistic regarding the Axims now. They were so fanatical when I started hanging out here.
I loved my Axim with all it's features but after a few weeks of use I had to sell it. It was just plain too big for me. I bought a 1910 - it's nowhere near as nice but it puts me in a ppc and a form factor I can use.
When I mentioned here that I had switched - I got some very defensive responses.
All I can say now is - Come on Dell! Bring on a smaller pocket pc!

Buy the Axim Advance or HP 2215?
Should I keep my order for the X5 advanced, that will take almost a month to get, or just go out and buy the new HP2215? Maybe I should wait and see if Dell tries to compete with HP? Any thoughts?

isn't there a big price difference between these two devices. especially when you consider a refurbished x5.

The HP is priced at $399.00 this week. It has the same config. as the X5 but comes with built-in blue tooth. It also runs a lot faster in benchmark tests and is smaller. Discounts may be had in the near future. I'm thinking that if iI wait a little longer Dell do something.

Whatever...Not true.
Both Axim with PXA255 and HP2215 are optimized for PPC2003.

Does it really matter? In 6 months there will be another. IMO there is nothing in the 2215 that makes me want it over my Axim. Too close in performance and the price is too high... :rolling:

I have the Axim X5 now and went to Fry's to look at the HP 2215, I have had 3 Ipaqs, the HP is nice , but I do not need bluetooth, the size is only a little smaller than the Dell. You will pay $399 for the HP and you can get the Dell on sale or special for like $250-$275. I am not sure it is worth it. Give me a month or two and that might change.

Yup
I agree, we all need to stay realistic and open minded about our choices in Pocket PC's. There's no reason to get defensive just because another company might make a better product. And just because I've fallen in love with the iPaq 2215 doesn't mean I don't love my Axim. ;)
