The Starship was one of the better bands of the 60's and 70's. They wanted to continue their career into the 80's but they found themselves not so relevant anymore as the Vientnam War came to a close and people tired of causes and just wanted to be entertained. So in order to jump back into the limelight they put out this complete piece of crap, "We Built This City."
Marconi was the inventor of the radio. If I remember correctly, by this time, The Starship, originally, Jefferson Airplane, was just a shell of itself by now. Only a couple of the original members remained. Paul Kantner had left in 1984, and he was the last great driving force of the band. It was now just a pop band instead of the psychedelic Rock Hall of Group it started out as.
