Wrong. Mac OSX bites. Run Macs and XP machines all day here @ Black&Decker. OSX machines are constantly having all kinds of problems! CONSTANTLY!
Saying OSX is more stable is a joke. Tell that to our Engineers here and they'll know you're an idiot.

Agreed. I don't like bashing either but I'm fed up with this OSX is more stable crap. It's a crock. Both OS's have their issues but I've been a Systems Manager here at Black&Decker now for 13 years, managing a sizable amount of XP and OSX machines. TRUST ME, when there's a problem, I'm the first one to hear about it. For every 10 Mac problems there is 1 XP problem (maybe). Does that sound like the Macs are more stable? And I'm dead serious! And when I see that butt-nut in the Apple commercial knocking the PC, I want to toss my cookies - it's just the opposite.

Maybe it's the production environment here in our very large Creative Services department, I don't know but the Macs are being replaced by XP machines one-by-one because the engineers are pissed! We're just tired of the constant problems already.

Good grief!

Almost had this post done, and XP crashed again! :realmad: (No kidding! IE just quit for no reason.) Here are a couple Vista/OSX comparisons. I tried to make this as unbiased as possible.

These are just for fun: (Warning: More anti-Windows stuff!)

Yeah, uh hum... ok...

Gee, IE crashed? You're kidding? Did the whole computer lockup like OSX does constantly here? Dialog boxes popping up with nothing in them like OSX? Something like that? You can run comparisons all day long. Again, both OS's have their problems. We work with both systems all day long, every day, year after year. Tell us all about what you read...

That's WAY better than mine!!!
Here's my setup:
2.6 GHz P4
512 MB factory RAM
160 GB HDD
64 MB Intel integrated graphics

I remember using the vista transformation pack on my old dell optiplex before it died back in september ,it was pretty good and u might want to stick with that since u only have 512MB of RAM ,u need 1GB of RAM for the maximum vista experience.

Macs suck. I had one for about a month... and ended up selling it.

I hate not being able to do anything. Sure they have some eye candy but once the eye candy appeal disappears then everything fades to black.

I like the fact of being able to just go online and download something.

I don't care what everyone says, but here's a fact: I've NEVER been able to make a Mac seriously crash, lock up, delay, do something unexpected, or even give a system error message. Something that no Windows computer can say. Whenever I use the Macs at school, I KNOW they'll work, not just hope they do.

By the way, I just installed FlyakiteOSX (Like the Vista Transformation Pack, but in the Mac style. I love it! It even emulates spotlight, dashboard, etc.) If you're interested, google-search it.

not sure what this guy is on...i think he got his OS's mixed up...... :D

The only time I get random messages for no reason is on windows....and most of the time its after a reboot from a crash.....your computer has recovered fro ma serious SU CK error....

never saw one of those on a Mac......

You want to post a new message on your PC.....cancel or allow??

I cant even get the quote feature to work right in IE

And Macs don't crash...that is a PC's job

Unfortunetly stupid people don't know how to use the Mac OS is probably more problems that anything else. It's probably more or less then user error with your Mac problems, people not being educated enough to use them...

with a PC...... you don't have to have user error for the PC to crash.....it just kinda does..... no reason.....

That quote comes from the guy whose best argument for PCs being better is "Mac OSX bites" Quite repetitive.....

I use both Macs and PC's...I've been able to lock both up but the PC definitely more so than the Mac. I don't mind people not knowing how to use the Mac. At the school library, every PC is always occupied so you can never get on without a long wait. There is one Mac set up in the back. Never a soul on it. Doesn't hurt my feelings none. Both operating systems have their pros and cons. It's why they make chocolate and vanilla. Everyone has their own preference.
