Arr mateys, ye captaine got'h arrr dilemma for ye to solveth!

Anyway, I am in the market for a good 12-14" laptop for school and the occasional gaming (come on, who doesn't ;) ). So far I've limited to 3 lappys:

-Asus W7j T5500
-Dell XPS M1210 T7200
-Toshiba Satellite U200 2300E

Arrr, ye captain foundth outh ye good and bad of each boat!

Asus:
Pros:
-bigger screen
-good looking
-fast

Cons:
-battery life
-thick

Dell:
Pros:
-fast
-EVDO

Cons:
-crappy looking
-thick
-vista

Toshiba
Pros:
-battery life
-good looking
-light
-cheap

Cons:
-slow
-1GB RAM
-slow

I want the laptop to be at least able to handle Photoshop, HDV editing, and Simcity 4 (still processor demanding after 4 years). Anyone experienced offering insights?

I would buy the Toshiba but if it is too slow go for the Dell

The MacBook is lightning fast, super compact, and runs OSX, the best OS on the market. You can also run XP natively with Bootcamp, or even simultaneously with Parallels Desktop, to play games and stuff.

Pros:
Fast
OSX
Runs Windows (not sure if this is a pro or a con, lol)
Fast
Few viruses
Intuitive
Fast
Oh, and did I mention it's fast?

GMA 950

Anyway, I ruled out the Toshiba since SC4 will likely bury it 6 feet under, and all the MacBooks for that matter -- no GMA 950 for now since SC4 is excessively RAM/GPU/CPU demanding.

Asus W7J and Dell M1210 left. If I bought the Asus I'll most likely swap the 5400 out for a 7200 -- ugh for the 5400.

Are you sure the Dell has EVDO? I was interested in the same laptop about six months ago and as told by my Dell rep that it was only for US models.
