I personally tend to use capital I's in their correct emplacement.
Just my personal preference.
However, at times when I'm trying to get a Post in edge-wise, in a hurry.....i just type with the letters as they are using no caps from beginning to end and often little punctuation. But I do proofread for any egregious spelling errors before I hit Submit, if I'm not sure, I'll Google it real fast.

As The Siren Of The Site says, this is an informal gathering. In this I wholeheartedly support her.
I also agree with André about "real life" typing. In particular about the spelling. There is no reason for anyone to spell so atrociously as to draw so much attention to himself for no other reason. Apparently that seems to be his real intention.
ABF has admitted that he can type correctly, if he were to slow down. He says that he codes correctly because he types slower when he codes.
So, I-not-i? He knows the difference, but chooses not to do so here.
Spelling? Again, he knows how, but chooses not to do so here.
Both I suspect for the attention it draws him.
