I have tried it on a co-workers TV. I can tell you its just as good as PC, but you would have to see it yourself. I am sure its not AS good as PC due to the amount of memory you can get on a video card these days, but to the naked eye you would have to be counting pixels to really tell the difference. 64 meg memory on Xbox and up to 128 on PC.

try running splinter cell (or another good looking game) on a PC with a radeon 9800 pro at the top resolution with all effects turned on at about 100 fps on an HDTV and then let me know what you think.

Same here I would never rip on PC games for me that's where it all started. PC games still hold a place in my heart, but I did brake the bank upgrading my PC every 5 seconds to play another game. So the Xbox was a good move for me, and even though PC is better, my opinion is that it won't be for very much longer. The introduction of the next generation consoles brought a whole bunch of people to the gaming market, and the develpers noticed this. There is just more money for them to make with console games.

for those hardcore into the PC gaming market. we didn't really take notice in an uproar in console gaming, nor did we care. PC gaming isn't going anywhere. and if it does, i'll probably just stop playing games altogether because i just dont't enjoy console gaming as much. okay, i take that back, i could never stop gaming. :)

Ben.
all kinds. :D

i'm a fan of RTS and FPS mainly. but i do like all kinds of games, just depends on the game. FPS especially on PCs. i loved medal of honor: AA. i can't wait for half life 2 and Homeworld 2.

i guess now you can see why i like PCs better than consoles. you just can't get RTS and FPS on a console in the same way as you can on a PC. :D

i guess if i liked third person and sports games the most, i'd be a console guy. ;)

how bout you?

Well I also love FPS, and I am not sure what you mean by you can't get FPS in the same way. I used to be on just PC as well playing games like Unreal, Counter-Strike, Quake Arena, and Tribes 2. Then I went to my brothers and played a little game called HALO, and I was blown away. Not so much because of graphics or sound. The gameplay on this game is so much better than any FPS I had played. The storyline was excellent. I would suggest trying this game if you are a FPS fan.

believe me, i plan on it when it comes out for PC. i didn't mean the gameplay was better on PC (i'm sure we all remember Goldeneye). i just prefer the keyboard and mouse setup for FPS. and traditionally FPS has usually been better on a PC. Goldeneye and Halo have been exceptions although i'd probably still like them both better on a PC. Halo is a great game independent of what system it's on.

Well, they are not expensive at all. The mouse is like $30 and the gamepad is is around $45. Don't know if your wife would have your head for that. They really make it easier especially the gamepad.
