WinXP Registry Cleaner Recommendations

I am looking for recommendations for a good registry cleaner, for my WinXP PC, if you could help, please.

I did a Google search and found many listed. I downloaded a couple, and they list lots of things to clean, but I have not cleaned anything yet.

[I'll first backup my registry, just in case.]

But, with so many out there, and none from a familiar name, I'm looking for recommendations, based on your use.
Let me know what you use and how well it works.

Thanks

I use PC Tools Registry Mechanic but it cost about $30. I also use CC Cleaner. I use two programs because I have found that one doesn't alway clean everything out.

I was using Symantic but, gave up.

Was "messing" up some programs, discontinued cleaning the registry for the
time being.

All was well at one time but after upgrading a few programs, ugh, Symantic
can keep their OBC (one button cleanup) program.

I use Advanced Windows Care from IOBit. Works great and the personal version is free.
