Anyone know...??
Does anyone know how I can remove this? Click here to see a screenshot..... I have taken the card out of my system and I want to get rid of all software for it on my pc.... I am thinking it's the reason I can't access the internet (I can access the network, but not the internet ). I am currently connecting to the my router with my intel pro/100 VE card.... Can someone please tell me how to remove this (in the screenshot)?? And help me figure out why I can only access the network and not the internet? (All the other computers connected to the router can access the network and the internet) Thanks!!

I'm assuming you've uninstalled the driver using "ADD/REMOVE" programs. I would also suggest running REGEDIT and searching for REALTEK, and delete all references to it. While it's a quick and dirty method of completly removing it from the registry, you still have to check for references in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32. If you're lucky, you'll see some references to that in the registry prior to deleteing them.
As far as not accessing the internet with that particular PC, it could be DNS not refreshing. Since you're not clear as to what you're running, that would be a guess (albeit) not a solution. Hope this helps.

If I set the IP settings to automatic configuration, it will not find an ip address to use (or won't use dhcp or router).

Another possibility prior to the registry hack is to right click on the card and disable it. Then reboot and try the uninstall process that gave you the error message.

Do you still have the card? If so, try putting it back in, then try the disable and uninstall.

Also might try disableing your onboad lan in your BIOS ... They might be sharing some files thus preventing you from uninstalling the Realtek because they are being used by the Intel ...
Once all your onboard are disabled in bios and you have no networks cards installed in the slots start off by deleting your WAN Miniport adapters ... Then delete the remaining LAN adapters that might be showing ...
If it lets you remove them then you can boot into safe mode and double check that no more lan cards are hidden ... Not really nessessary but I normally check out of habit ...
Then reboot and enable your onboard LAN and it should ask to install the drivers ... And start setting up your network from there ...
