If you had only 1 GB, I would get XP media center edition, but with 2 GB things just run much faster in vista. Just turn windows defender off or the hard drive noises will drive you crazy. ONCE AGAIN!!!!! i have 1GB of RAM in my computer and Vista DOES NOT RUN any slower than XP did.
