startir - complete accident. I was on the first website ever years ago, and meant to type 'starter'. I realized 'startir' was quite original, and e-mail addresses would be simpler that way.

mine is from The Epic of Gilgamesh, perhaps, the oldest written story on Earth. It comes from Ancient Sumeria, and was originally written on 12 clay tablets in cunieform script. It is about the adventures of the historical King of Uruk (somewhere between 2750 and 2500 BCE). In it Enkidu is a natural man created by Aruru, modeled after Anu and Ninurta, to become a rival then a friend and alter ego of Gilgamesh. He is introduced to civilization by his sexual liaison with Shamhat the sacred temple girl. well i just liked the sound of the name, which i pronounce in-ki-du, but that might not be its real pronunciation! lol

Mine is a nickname I acquired from my poseur biker friends because I cobble parts and technology from different brands and eras, along with stuff I make in my garage shop, onto my Harley Softail (generally to make it more amenable to long distance touring), the overall effect making it not very attractive for a Harley. Anyone who's seen the pictures of my "Axim Touring Case" (posted in October sometime) would get the idea of my "function over form" philosophy.

Ummm...in college I needed to think up a username to make a free email account to use as a spam account. Looked around the room.
I got "all" from the first half of the brand of the fridge in the corner, I don't even remember what the rest of the name was, and I had a ticket stub from the suburban express bus company sitting on my desk...so there was the "sub"
