Cribbage is a card game. It has been around for hundreds of years and points are accumulated through the compilation of combinations of card values that add to make 15 or 31, as well as pairs, runs, and flushes.

I've been playing cribbage for around 30 years, and I've gotten pretty good at it - hence the wiz (short for wizard).

And I chose cribbagewiz only mostly because CunningLinguist was too long. I enjoy word games and many of my friends do consider me a CunningLinguist (clever wordsmith).

Back in the day, I used to make tons of pizzas at home for friends and family. Everyone told me I had Italian in me, and gave me an Italian form of my real name David.

Girion

its the nick I've used in all my online gaming experiences, as well as some old pen-and-paper RPGs.

I took it from J.R.R. Tolkien's book "The Hobbit." Girion was the Lord of a town called Dale, destroyed by the coming of the dragon Smaug.

On the map in the front of the book it says over the ruined town of Dale "Here was Girion, Lord in Dale" I thought it was a cool sounding name, and started using it for gaming and msg boards. The name just stuck.

Its been so long now, that even my RL friends call me "G" or "Gir" instead of my RL name. :crooked:

My middle name is Aloysius, pronounced (Aloe-wishes). My initials are JAH. I was making an AOL IM screename one day and Aloysius was already taken. As a result, 'Jahloysius' was born.

It's really strange because it's also become my nickname amongst my circle of friends.
