well mine is my nickname + my surname's first intials... kirky and since everyone always thinks of trek when they here my name (like, i always get the beam me up, scotty line) it kinda stuck w me. (friends usually call me kirky) and it doesnt really hurt since i just love trek! But im more a voyager than a next genner or a ds niner ("if you really look at it, voyager is more in line witht he visn of trek, being out there and relying on pure guts and bravado"). :hide: :hide: :hide: :hide:

Not very imaginative -- Webster says To rouse strong feelings in; excite. As in my Axim commoved me.

star50fiveoh: Or I can even use "second star from the right...and straight on till morning" (kirk's reply to chekov's question, asking for course heading in the final scene of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Of course this was also "borrowed" from Peter Pan, location of Neverland).

"Book em, Danno"

These threads are always funny to read. Here's my story:

There once where a company called Sled Dogs Inc. They produced and sold Snowskates. A couple of friends of mine distributed those in Scandinavia. Then Sled Dogs Inc. decided to quit, and they bought the hole company, now it's called Sled Dogs AS.

Then I started a norwegian fan-site called www.topdogs.no, and therefore I call myself TopDog.

hmm you might need a name change--the color black in chinese is "hei," and if you're familiar with the tones it's tone mark 1.

"gui" is indeed ghost and its tone mark is 3.

so "heigui" :p

"hegui" could have several meanings depending on what character "he" (the e has a kind of "uh" sound) is. some possibilities:

- drink ghost (verb-object)
- with ghost

SLED DOGS! I use to watch the informercials for those things. I really wanted to order them too. But realistically NYC doesn't get that much snow. So I stuck to my rollerblades which I used most of the time.

How is the product doing in Scandinavia?

Well, my college roommate and I got labeled "rounders" a few years ago because of our poker playing/card skills, in particular... Texas Hold 'Em, which the movie "Rounders" is based upon, which also happens to be my all-time favorite movie. 37 is just my lucky number. Don't ask me why.

Uzziah - it is Biblical (2 Kings), this is a name I was joking with my wife about, saying we could name our son Uzziah, and I could call him U!
