The cradle for the next Axim should have a built-in USB hub (two ports maybe). This will create one more reason for the consumer to purchase an Axim!

How about using usb speeds instead of serial speeds through a usb port. Better yet how about usb/firewire options during purchase? A hub would be good since the cradle is using my fourth and last port...

Firewire would be a good idea, but USB 2.0 would be even easier to integrate and more convenient for end users...
