It all depends on the season. If it is not winter then BBQ Ribs are my first choice. In winter, if I need comfort food it is home-made Onion Soup or Clam Chowder.
Also in winter I make a lot of chili and rice (with many cans of beans), but it isn't a comfort food, just an addiction.
This thread has just made me realize that I didn't have lunch yet and my tummy is empty.

Must go have something bad to eat.
