Hmm Rotating avis or mpgs

I've got a nice little digital camera which takes small avi movies... very nice to have, and with PQV I can even watch them in their native format on my Axim.

On the Axim, it's also easy to view either portrait or landscape mode movies - just a simple turn of the device.

It is much harder to do this on the desktop, and I can't find ANYWHERE how to rotate either avi or mpg movies...

As long as the movie is in landscape mode everything is fine. If I take a portrait movie, I have to watch it on the desktop lying on my side.

Has anyone found a solution to this? There must be a million of these cameras out there, and folks have to have dealt with this by now. Everything I've found online has been pretty esoteric.

Thanks in advance!

Using the same software and techniques described in the Multimedia forum, you could just rotate the video whichever direction is necessary to make it viewable for you on your desktop.
