desperately look for serial comm control for DELL Axim

Hello, there:

I have a cable connecting the PPC and the PC's serial DB9 interface.

I can use the serial communication option of ActiveSync.

Now I'm desperately looking for a serial comm control or code to do similiar thing: I need to extract binary data from a electronic device via a DB9 port to my PPC. But the normal serial communication seems not work 'cause the other end of the cable for the PPC, is not DB9 port. Any help or suggestion?

Your reply is appreciated,
Sway

Call Dell. I think tha part number is 310-3173 but I can not get it to come up on a cart. They offer a serial adapter and I think it runs about $19.00. I can configure a new unit with a serial cable but can not see where you order it as a stand alone item.

I have one. You may have to write a data collecting application for it once you received the hardware (serial cable).

Thanks for the reply. But how to write this kind of application?

use Embedded Visual Basic 3.0 and the serial port COMM control. I've been developing with this for quite some time and it's pretty stable.
