What is a must have software for Docs/Med professionals?

I just bought an Axim and was wondering what is a good configuration for Doctors/Med professionals.

What "must have" hardware/software I should buy with this. I want to give it as a gift to my father who is a doctor, but am unsure about the configuration a med professional would like?

I would like to know what you med professionals have found useful.

thanks

Go to pdamd.com. They have a medical section with the top sellers highlighted. Also depends on what type of doc he is. Epocrates.com has drug database continually updated that is probably the most highly regarded one on the market.

As a family practitioner (the most general of the generalists), I find the following software invaluable:

Epocrates for drug info
Sanford Guide - antibiotic bible for docs
Any / several of the various skyscape medical "mini-books" for quick lookup of some common and uncommon conditions (I use the one for family practice, and find it generaly has most of what I'm looking for)
Dorlan's medical dictionary
MedMath for all the medical formulae one needs
Some ICD-9 code database for looking up those pesky diagnosis codes.

Beyond this, I would need to know what field your father is in to recommend some of the more specialized software (pregnancy calculators, ICU mini-books, Cardiology references, etc.)

Hope you find what you need.

Thank you !!

Well my dad is a Family Practitioner as well. So I will follow your suggestion.

Do I need some additional hardware, memory or storage cards with this?

Is a Axim 300 sufficient or is a Axim 400 required?

:)
