Most recent count of my DVD collection was 110 movies. Well, probably more...because some of those are box sets. I'd guess about 120 or so total movies.

I'm probably cheating..but I have about 120...about 10 or so are my son's dvd's and about 20 of them are dvd-r copies. So originals including box sets about 90.
I did a quick count on mine and came up with 95 but almost within minutes of marking the 51-100 choice, I got online and ordered a half a dozen from Amazon based on movies that were mentioned in the other thread, so in a week or so, my vote will be wrong :)
I also have a hundred or so VHS tapes and, so far, have refused to duplicate most of them with DVDs but as the quality degrades on the tapes, I probably will be buying many of those again.

I have around 40 movies or so, but if you add music videos, and full season sets of Buffy, Sports Night, La Femme Nikita, and Deep Space Nine, the numbers go up quite fast.
Also, the poll didn't specify as to DVD Titles, or DVD's, so I just counted the total number of discs. (total of 117 actual discs, but only 72 actual separate titles)

I think that's because it takes too long to be carried out.
Boy you guys are crazy. Ive got a cousin whos room is filled with dvds. I dont think that he has over 400 though. Wheew! 20 bucks a dvd multiplied by 400. Thats like 8000 bucks!!!! I really hope you guys didnt spend full price for those. Think what you could have for 8000 bucks. A lot of stuff. a whole lot of stuff. or one really nice thing (down payment on a car)(totaly sicked out pc system)(a different hooker every night for 4 months)LOL!!!
I doubt that I have spent more than $1500 or so on my DVD collection, but of course I don't plan to stop buying them any time soon. Home theater is a hobby of mine, so DVD purchases go along with the hobby. I have sunk plenty of money into my home theater setup, so why not buy the media to enjoy it? Of course, to finish off my setup I still need to get that High Def TV that I've been wanting for a long while.....guess I could have put the $1500 toward a down-payment on that. :D

As long as you are satisfied with where the money went I suppose it does not matter. I was just after I did the math. Wow thats a lot of money at full price!
I will be at 810 when I enter my newest aquisitions, picking up babylon season 3 this week and haven't logged Stargate Seasons 1,2,3. If I counted disks, due to multi-disk special editions and TV collections I can only imagine it must be over a 1000. A guy I work with was at 1200 about 6-7 months ago. I have become a huge fan of previewed, especially as Hollywood Video has lifetime gaurantee and right now 2/$20.
