I picked a thumbs down so this thread seems urgent rather than an exclamation point, I think it would get more attention. Anyways, I have a Palm TX, i can't delete any email account off it... it has my email my password saved to auto sync and I want to return it without my information.

So how do I perform a hard reset on it?, I tried holding the power button and the reset button but just got a soft reset.

From the Palm T|X FAQ:

How do you perform a hard reset?

To perform a hard reset, hold down the power button while pushing the stylus tip into the reset hole on the back of the T|X (just above the speaker). Release the reset switch while continuing to hold the power button for a few seconds. When you release the power button you should be presented with a screen asking you if you're sure that you want to perform a hard reset. Press up on the 5-way pad to hard reset the T|X, and press any other hardware button to cancel and perform only a soft reset.

Thanks very much, I tried doing that, just guessing i had to hold the power longer... but I didn't hold it long enough. I was close :) Thanks for the help, now I can return the so limited device. I got an x51v instead of the tx :)
