Vista won't show Thumbnail photos

Help me get Vista to show thumbnail photos instead of these generic icons.

This is my pictures folder with medium size icons:

See how the icons are generic and not miniature versions of my photos? Help me fix that and I'll be very happy!:approve:

Thanks

In Vista, there is no choice for thumbnails. It's large icons, medium icons and a few other choices. But they should still show miniature photos. And yes, I would love to have xp Pro instead!

Steve I've had this in xp Pro as well, sometimes I get thumbnails as a choice, sometimes I get the slideshow option. I'm not sure how the OS decides how it offers you the different options. That's no help

Try this: Right click on file to get Properties -> Customize -> Picture and Videos.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no change.

Does the article in this link show you how to enable it? (the article tells you how to turn it off, so you would do the reverse)

I've tried this solution, but it doesn't "stick" for me. All the thumbnails are generated, but as soon as the last one displays, the whole screen goes back to icons. Any other solutions out there? Thanks.
