I think I am addicted to Pocket Informant

Ok, I just looked in my PocketPC folder, and noticed that I have "bought" 37 versions of Pocket Informant (mostly bought, some were free upgrades).

First version I bought v2.1
Bought February 2001

Last version bought v.8
Bought Today.

What a difference!

Sorry for this nearly useless thread, but 37 versions? I don't want to know how much I spent on this software over the years.....

I know what you mean - I have been using PI for years! Coupled with Pocket Breeze, this becomes an unbeatable combination.

Thanks Dave ... I've paid for PI twice. I feel better about the amount I spent now!

After 37 purchases, you should get lifetime upgrades for free. :)

Do you like PI 2008 ? I have read a lot of criticism about it.

I am running PI 2007 which works fine for me. I see no reason to upgrade.

All PI versions are very complex programs which have a host of features which most people never use. The User Manual runs to 86 pages !

You should email that pic of that folder to them... maybe they'll cut you a break on the next one?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but PI made my today screen so sluggish on my hx2795, I removed it

I've tried PI2008 four times on my 2795 and it's worked so poorly I'm using Agenda Fusion now because it's more like PI2008 than PI2007.

Really? Were you using PI2007?

I tried 2008 but didn't like it - kept crashing. 2007 is pretty solid, though - going to stick with it for the duration I think.

Like someone else said - it's already got more features than I'll ever use.

yep, it was 2007. scrolling through tasks on the today screen was painfully slow.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but I don't think PI has a Today-screen plugin does it? The presentation of my tasks is done with PocketPlus ... the presence or absence of PI has nothing to do with it.

At least, if I click on the task on my today screen the PI opens 'cause it has been selected as my standard PIM.
