Finally, after years of anticipation, I am going to see Rush! They are playing June 27 at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee, Wi. I think I got decent tickets, but it's a bit hard to tell from the seating chart.
I chose Milwaukee over Chicago b/c I found better tix and the drive isn't really that far. It's probably 1.5 hours, whereas downtown Chicago is about 1 hour.
I saw Rush about 8 years ago. They are an amazing band, but they are really not much for a "show". They are masters and their live music may as well be studio performances, but they have little stage presence.

If I want stage presence and a fun show I'll see Britney Spears or Hannah Montanna (I don't mean any sarcasm). To me it's all about the music. Though I do appreciate what you are saying, Rad.
If you saw him then, you need to go see him now. I've been to one of his concerts for each of the past 5 years and will be going again in April. He'll be in Milwaukee in March. If you can - go. :approve:
I only know that b/c my son, who lives in Green Bay, is going. I'm originally from northern IL myself - Zion. :o
I've seen them 5 times and I'm going on tax day to see them again in Orlando. They've got great stage presence! I saw them last year on this same tour in Tampa, it was their third show of the tour I think, and they rocked! You will not be dissappointed!
These butt-nuts are over 60 years old, dude. They sucked then and they can only be worse... The dudes can barely hold up their guitars by now? They're shriveling up.

RUSH was great in their day (I still listen to their songs) but don't have any ideas of their "sound" nowadays. I just listened to "Tom Sawyer" this morning on the way to work :)

I've seen them twice in my lifetime and I will NEVER forget it! They sound exactly as they do on disk (which is remarkable). I believe I had my mouth hanging open in awe throughout each concert (perhaps I was screaming a bit here and there too!)
Even though the concerts I saw were many years ago, I just know that you are going to love it! Let me know how it goes!!:approve:
