Hi,
after several months away spent dabbling with the dark side (a palm Lifedrive) I'm now a happy X50v owner once again. The reason I came back to windows mobile, other than the annoying waits for the palm to access its micro drive, was a chance purchase of an iPaq for £50. Couldn't believe someone with more money than sense was selling a HX 2790 for that price at work, so after biting his hand off I became a WM5 user once more. Have to say, the iPaq is a lovely ppc, similar size to the X50, similar spec (without the vga) and very quick. I started to miss that vga screen though and the ability to play glquake, gldoom etc, so, spotting one for sale at £90 on ebay I took the plunge into axim land again.
First (second?) impressions. Love that screen, it's a bit slower than the iPaq and the battery definitely drains faster. But for me, it just feels right in my hand, hard for me now to understand why I sold my original v.

So, just wanted to say hi and it's good to be back...Also can anyone recommend what's the best backgammon game for WM. Really liked the one I had on the palm and if the worst comes to the worst I can always play that via styletap, but I'd prefer a WM version of the game if poss.

Welcome back raines.

I have the Multiplayer Championship Backgammon from Real Dice. Although, I'm not an expert at the game by any means. I think it costs about $15. I would assume you can puchase it in UK. If my conversion is correct, it would be about £10?

Thanks kcallahan, just checked that out on clickgamer, looks good and a mere £7.60 to boot. Will be trying the demo shortly.
