You probably will want to use Internet Connection Sharing on the WinXP (check the PC's help for setting it up) and disable the router functions on the router - essentially using it as a switch/access point instead of a router. ICS on the PC does the router functions, supplying IPs to connected devices. Disabling the router functions is done on the DHCP tab of the router setup - set the DHCP Server to disabled. Since ICS uses the 192.168.0. set of IPs, I think you need to change the router to the same set so on the setup page of the router, change the LAN IP to 192.168.0.100. Once you change this, you'll probably lose the access to the router settings and will need to log back in using 192.168.0.100 in your browser.
I think you'll want to connect the PC to one of the router's LAN ports (not the WAN port) but you may need to try it both ways.
This is the basic setup but you should be aware that firewalls on the PC can interfere with these setups. Even disabling the firewall may not prevent it from blocking the connections and it can be really tricky getting these setups to work.
