Some of you will know that, nearly three years ago, I gave up a perfectly good job and went back to school! :) Going to university has fulfilled a long held ambition and it has been a life-changing experience! However, I am now coming to the end of my MSc in Project Management and I need some help with my research project (dissertation): I am hoping that the project managers among us will come to my aid.
I am conducting my research into maturity models (think
CMM &
OPM3): specifically, I want to know how widespread their adoption is (by geography and industry) and whether project managers believe that they are effective at improving performance. If you want a copy of my synopsis, I will happily email it to you.
I’m looking for project managers from within our community at Aximsite to answer a short questionnaire (twenty questions) that should take between five and ten minutes to complete.
It doesn’t matter if you feel that you have limited (or no) first-hand experience of maturity models; the information garnered from such replies will be equally as informative and relevant to my research as any other responses and I have made provision for
“not applicable” type answers where appropriate (thanks Box!). Please be assured that this research is confidential and that no personally identifiable information is collected. All that is necessary is that you are or have been a professional project practitioner (project manager, team member, educator or student).
If you are willing to help and participate in the study (or have colleagues who might help), please post here or drop me a PM and I’ll send you the link to the questionnaire.
BTW, if anyone (who participates ;)) wants access to the raw data, I promise to share it once I have submitted my dissertation.
Thanks in advance
John
