I was out of town last week when my wife told me over the phone that for Father's Day she wants to get me a Wii. I've never ever had a game console and told her she didn't have to do that, but she could get it for the kids. Yesterday at breakfast she mentioned it again and the kids got all excited. So I said, "sure, we can get one."

We went to Toys R Us and picked one up along with Guitar Hero, which is probably the only game I have ever played on a game console. I was surprised how easy it was to set up, and once I saw how it worked I was blown away. The kids and I played Pool, Ping Pong, Fishing and a few other games. I didn't do Guitar Hero yet.

Anyway, this morning I wake up and see my 9 year old has set it up in her room. She installed it by herself. That really hit home in showing me what a great game system this is. it's literally so easy to use a 9 year old can do it.

I look forward to spending thousands of dollars on more games. Does anyone know where I can get a second job?

Have bought myself a preinstalled OEM Vista computer with something called Wii installed - but I don't know what is for :scratch_h

Zaniax, I have no idea what the Wii on your computer is for, sorry.

BTW, I forgot the whole point of my story. I found out why my wife was so hot to get a Wii, though she was pretending it was for me and the kids. After we got home and I started installing the Wii, she brings out the game Wii Fit that she bought last week. I'm not saying she's manipulative or anything...!

Wii was also my very first game console and it's been great! My faves so far are Guitar Hero, DDR and Trauma Center: New Blood. I'm going to grab Wii Fit as soon as I have time to do some more playing!

Got to love bowling, baseball & tennis on the Wii.

Had one for two years, we call the room Wii Hab!
