Spotted it this morning, and we were wondering why they can't pull two wires to our neighborhood.. And why we are stuck with cable or DSL.





It won't be long before companies start bringing shipful of people from India to start doing their labor as well.

I don't care for unions myself. In this day and age, too many people out of work to be making contract threats.

And, you're right, either India or Mexico. In our area they use contractors to install phone, cable, and fiber optic cables. :)

If you think about it, I don't think immigration dept would allow that, they would have way too much pressure from the unions.

not to be too political, but unions are WAY too Socialist.

everyone gets paid regardless of their performance, position, qualifications, etc...

I understand it was initially to keep "the man" from undervaluing employees and to ensure workplace safety and such, but it is now a relic from an era long past in the US.

Now it only serves to squeeze more and more from an even tighter economy.

I might believe that except for what happened in the auto industry. The unions tried to get tough, the industry moved plants to the south, and many of the employees are from Mexico. :o

Not to mention those 'do-gooders' that stopped children going down mines, banned asbestos, and stopped people being allowed to be a paid less for the same job if they have too much pigmentation.
