Using a PDA on a home network

I have a home network which i set up in xp pro. I see that on my mogul there is an option under connections, to connect to a network. Can I connect my phone to see my hard drives to my phone?

You mean you want to access "shared files", files that are on your computers hard drive that u have set up to share over the local area network?

If so, that is easy to do.
I use GSFinder, which is a free file explorer with more features. It acts more like the file explorer in win xp.

In GSFinder you get an address box, like you would on win xp's file explorer.
Simply type in "\\PC Name\Shared Folder Name" into the address bar of GSFinder. I assume you already know this path if youve set up your xp pro system to share files. If not, reply and ill show you how to set it up and find its name.

Once you enter that address and are connected to wifi, it should let you in.
You can also make a shortcut to it by going up one level to "\\PC Name", copying the folder and pasting a shortcut wherever you want it. I keep a shortcut to my network drive in /My Documents on my pda so that i can get to it easier.

File Explorer in WM6\WM6.1 can access known shares via Menu-->Open Path-->New Path too, I believe.

I'm lazy and use Resco Explorer 2008...

Since i dont own a wm5/6 device, i googled to see if the built in file explorer had that function, and this site said you needed 3rd party software like Resco or the freeware one i use:

Right, and the standard File Explorer on any WM device thus far leaves a lot to be desired, so I wasn't correcting what you said, just adding some additional info.
