With all the knowledge here, maybe someone can point me to the right direction!

I am having a situation at work and I am looking for a solution. following is what I would like to have:

Different people are filling a monthly schedule calendar using Word or Excel or outlook. These calendars of business events are then sent to the President which she combine everything manually into one master calendar. What I would like to do is that every one fill their own calendar using one program like Outlook if it exist, where right can be managed so not everyone can see all calendars.

If marketing fill their calendar only authorized staff can be able to view or edit the calendar. Same goes for sales and other divisions.

After each calendar is saved you have a master calendar that combine every entries into one with some security again where only the President and authorized personnel can view or edit depending on the rights given to them. Is this possible with Outlook 2003 or do I need a third partie program? SharePoint was on trial but didn't provide the necessary security for this.

Thanks,

Are you not using Exchange Server with public folders and outlook?

Do you actually need to combine the calendars or could you just get away with the overlay viewing mode in Outlook.

Thanks Radimus, yes we are using public folders and an Exchange server. The server is not in Canada but I am sure that with proper arguments and push from higher management I will be able to get this going. I will read your information tomorrow at work, Thanks again
